Our firm recently obtained the following results:
- We obtained a Stipulated Final Judgment for $350,000.00 on behalf of our clients who purchased two businesses in Palm Beach County against the sellers. We asserted claims for breach of contract and fraud on behalf of our clients. The Defendants vigorously defended the case and steadfastly denied our claims. Only after extensive discovery and our unraveling of the paper trail created to thwart our claims were we able to convince the sellers that we would prevail. The debtors are currently making payments toward that judgment in order to avoid execution against their assets.
- We represented three Plaintiffs, who became private mortgage lenders, in three separate complicated cases. The borrowers defaulted on their loans when the housing market crashed. These cases all involved the same borrowers, mortgage broker, title company and attorney. We were able to establish that legal malpractice by the attorney resulted in funds ear-marked for construction of homes in all of the transactions being improperly disbursed to the borrowers even though no construction had actually been performed. Just prior to the commencement of the trials, we were able to reach a settlement with the insurance company for the attorney of all three cases for a total of $480,000.
- In another case where we represented a private mortgage lender which had multiple transactions with a group of companies and principals involving allegations of fraud and breach of contract, we obtained a judgment for our clients in excess of $2,000,000.00.
